This time of year I find myself feeling the need for a wellness escape.  My favourite destination for this type of break is a small island off Phuket: Yao Noi.  The Six Sense resort epitomizes tranquility and five star living – perfect for those you are looking for a detox holiday.

With an amazing spa nestled into the tropical hillside plus a host of gentle activities to calm the mind, relax the soul and re -enegrise the body, this is my idea of a holiday.  The  spa offers a personalised fitness and spa program along with a detoxification and cleansing journey – should you wish.

Yao Noi has a host of dining options including in- villa dining allowing you to really make the most of the relaxation aspect of the holiday.  The resort prides itself on its eco-credentials (which pleases my wife!), including it's organic garden and the majority of the produce used in the restaurant is grown there.

A favourite element of mine about Yao Noi is the vast range of activities and excursions that can be tailored to suit you, from Thai Boxing, to Rock Climbing, to Diving and a classic Thai cookery course. A great way to try something new!

The most magical aspect of Yao Noi is stunning sunset hues of orang and pink along with the sparkling turquoise of the ocean which ultimately inspired me to produce my debut Shades of Summer collection. The main reason as to why I travel is to find inspiration and enhance my creative mind.

Happy New Year.  Make 2015 the year you get your rocks on!
